It is four year professional study programme which is blend of biomedical, clinical & technical studies. The applicant can opt for this course. It is designed for applicants who want a broader spectrum in the field of Pharmaceutical science in patient as well as product orientation. The course curriculum involves the core subjects pharmacognosy, Pharma Chemistry/Analysis, Pharmacology & Pharmaceutics. Wherein knowledge of natural source of medicine, synthesis methods of preparing medicine, actions & reactions of medicine & different dosage form of medical along with basic knowledge of their industrial manufacturing is given.
The candidate after completing the course may opt the many fields of their interest to choose their carrier like higher studies in research of medicine, higher studies in management, Academics, Manufacturing of drugs (basic drugs & formulations) Analysis of drugs, Regulatory process involved in the field of medicine(Drug inspector), marketing of medicine i.e. Retail shop, wholesale shop, Govt & Private Pharmacists & Pharmaceuticals medical representative etc.
The Direct Second Year Pharmacy Program offers a unique opportunity for eligible candidates to fast-track their journey towards a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree. Designed for students who have completed diploma in pharmacy, this program condenses the foundational learning of the first year of the traditional B.Pharm. curriculum into a streamlined pathway, allowing students to directly enter the second year of the program.
The Direct Second Year Pharmacy Program spans three years, encompassing the second, third, and fourth years of the standard B.Pharm. curriculum.
Eligibility : A pass in 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination (with English, Physics and Chemistry subjects along with Biology and/or Mathematics in 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination) in academic session 2023-24 or earlier.
