Pharmacology is one of the most sought-after courses and the scientific discipline that studies how drugs interact with living organisms to produce therapeutic effects or adverse reactions. It includes the understanding of pharmacological characteristics, modes of action, absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion. Pharmacologists examine and investigate drug effects at numerous levels, from molecular and cellular to entire organisms, to create secure and effective medications and improve patient care.
The department has been actively engaged in imparting knowledge to various categories of students. This includes Pharmacy Diploma students and Pharmacy undergraduate students, With an aim to make Pharmacy learning more intriguing and participative, the department regularly organizes quizzes, debates, and student seminars. These interactive sessions not only enhance the understanding of the subject but also foster critical thinking and communication skills among the students.
Mentor-Mentee Program:Recognizing the importance of personalized guidance in the educational journey, the department has introduced a mentor-mentee program specifically for undergraduate Pharmacy students. This program pairs experienced faculty members with students, allowing for individualized attention, guidance, and support. It not only aids in academic achievement but also fosters professional growth, ethics, and the overall development of the students.
Laboratory Facility:The Department of Pharmacology boasts laboratory facilities equipped with modern instruments and technologies that facilitate hands-on learning and experimentation. Students and researchers can conduct a wide range of tests and research activities, ensuring practical exposure alongside theoretical knowledge.
